NOPD Obtains Arrest Warrant for Suspect in First District Attempted Murder

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Brian Anthony Clark (pictured, DOB: 4/5/1994) in the investigation of an attempted murder that occurred this morning (April 20, 2024) in the 1900 block of Canal Street.

Around 7:30 a.m., NOPD First District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male and an adult female suffering from injuries after being struck by a vehicle. The two victims were transported to a local hospital.

A juvenile female was also on scene and was not injured by the vehicle.

Through investigation, investigators determined Clark allegedly used the pictured red 2023 Ford F-150 to run over the victims intentionally. Clark then fled in the vehicle, which was reportedly stolen.

NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Clark on two counts of attempted first-degree murder as well as one count of simple criminal damage to property, hit & run driving, child desertion, and illegal possession of stolen things.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Anyone with any information regarding Clark is asked to call First District detectives at (504) 658-6010 or Crimestoppers anonymously at (504) 822-1111.
